About Me
Hey, I’m G — the voice behind The No-Village Mama.
I’m 33, born and raised in Italy, and after a few years bouncing between Italy, the UK, and Spain, I somehow ended up calling Sydney home.
When my husband, our British bulldog, and I moved here in 2022, it was just the three of us—no kids, just curiosity and a dream for a fresh start.
We were newly married and already dreaming about a family, but honestly? The thought of raising kids without any support system scared the life out of me.
Fast-forward a few years and here we are: a family of five.
One energetic two-year-old boy and twin baby girls who’ve completely turned our world upside down—in the best (and messiest) way possible.
By day I work as an Operations Manager at Amazon.
By night (and during nap times 😅) I write here—about motherhood, balance, and keeping my sanity somewhere between the laundry pile and the baby bottles.
What The No-Village Mama Is About
This isn’t the filtered, “everything’s fine” version of motherhood.
It’s the honest one—the tears, the wins, the chaos, and all the in-betweens.
When I became a mum far from family and friends, I finally understood what people mean when they say “it takes a village.”
Except sometimes… you just don’t have one.
And when that reality hit, it nearly broke me.
This space came from that experience—my way to connect, to share, and to remind other parents (whether you have help or not) that you’re doing better than you think.
Here, you’ll find:
-
Real reflections on motherhood and identity
-
Little tricks to stay organized when life feels impossible
-
Honest thoughts on mental health and self-care
-
Pregnancy and early-parenthood stories
-
A sprinkle of humour and a lot of heart
A Note from Me
If you ever feel alone, overwhelmed, or like you’re just barely hanging on, I hope this corner of the internet makes you exhale and think, “Okay… me too.”
Grab your (probably cold) coffee, take a breath, and stay a while.
Welcome to The No-Village Mama—because motherhood doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. 💛
